[Closed] Best front mud guard?

Local trails are in quite dense woodland so still muddy despite the current weather. I'm suffering with mud flicking up from the front wheel so want to get a guard. Which of the small ones works best?

Mucky Nutz face fender combined with a gut fender keeps all the mud off me.

Lightwieght and cheap - winner all round

+1 for Mucky Nutz, when you look at them you think they can't possibly work, too small etc but they are remarkably effective. I used to run a crud catcher too but I took it off as the mucky nutz catches the majority.

SKS Shockboard. Less ridiculous looking than most serious guards, and hugely effective. Downside is the mounting hardware isn't really strong enough for harder use, I cabletie mine on.

I like the little guards but they're not in the same league at all.

Face fender ordered. The others are a little on the large side!

I'll see if this works before going full motox!

Mucky Nutz here. Got the slightly longer one that goes on the fork.

you still need a mud guard fitted to the downtube (eg: Crud catcher or gut fender), for the mucky nutz to be affective & stop flicking mud straight into your face.

+1 again for Mucky Nutz.

Never had a need for anything on the downtube. Mucky Nutz is fine enough to prevent face spray.

I don't use a crud guard when I've got my muckynuts fitted... TBH if you want something more effective than the little bender fenders you might as well do the job properly and fit a moto-style guard, it doesn't look any worse and it's miles more effective. Downtube guards give you all of the ugly and hardly any of the mudguard

Saw loads of Mucky Nutz still fitted (including my own) in the dry on Sunday.
So good you don't even notice it's there.

yeah, you'll really realise how good the face fender is when you try riding without it!

not into the gut fenders tho. surely your downtube does a good enough on its own?

Mucky nutz are that bloody enduro style thing aren't they 😉

Did have one until I got a hans damph, now it won't fit under the arch. Be good if you could get something similar that fitted on top of the arch instead for fat tyres.
