ISCG 05 fitting chain device for XT cranks needed for my new bandit, have never had a chain devce so any advice welcome.
E-13 DRS Had 2 awesome work great - when the roller wears out replace with firm one.
After that a Blackspire Stinger is fine too
Stinger is effective... pretty basic and I reckon a bit heavier than it needs to be but it's simple and it works (also the massive backplate means that if it doesn't fit, you can chop bits off and it's still strong enough) Happy enough with mine that I've never considered swapping it.
Gamut do one which weighs nowt and is very pretty... Never had any bother strengthwise though it does look like it'd fold in half if you look at it too hard.
for the price, Stinger (CRC got em on sale). Got em on both my bikes and they work. A 'super' competitor makes one, but every time they sell one a fairy drowns in a kittens tears and a crow scratches a baby's face.
Northwind went for a stinger could you please recommend a bashguard to save my new shiney xt chainrings.

Bashring, really depends what you want it to do, they come in different levels of bashyness, weight and cost. Frinstance I had a BBG lightweight ring but it bent very easily, not too surprising tbh- but it made an excellent lightweight chain catcher. Other end of the scale, my E13 Turbocharger seems as tough as old boots, and reasonably light, but expensive.
No one right answer though. If you don't mind a bit of weight you can pick up OEM Shimano ones pretty cheap. You may not even need one at all.

not northwind so obviously my input is worthless, but Blackspire C4 is chunky without being mega heavy, fits XT cranks, and matches the stinger if youre that OCD-inclined.
