Just a pic and a description and/or RAL code. No multicolour-fade/decal nonsense either!

Raleigh Bronze-Green (metallic). Found on Raleigh Twentys/Stowaways, (early-mid 1970s) . It was that good, it even looks good when frame is old, chipped and rusted. Need to find a code for it when my 29er finally needs a respray 🙂

I quite like the colour of my metallic blue charge duster skinny.

Like my Fleet from around 1997 which I still have (except it's now black)

The purple of the first year's Vagabonds - not so keen on the white, so the suggestion in the Vagabond thread that they're returning to purple means I might be very tempted to buy a frame set.

And the bronze Croix de Fers

My 2 favourite colour bikes were both yellow- I got my Mmmbop powder coated Traffic Yellow, and I absolutely love the Dune's yellow- already loved it even before I discovered it glows slightly in the dark. Black mud on ridiculously bright yellow is just... perfect. Only downside is it's hard to photograph, direct sunlight makes it glary (and sometimes it comes out pretty green on camera too for some reason)

I got my Hemlock anodised orange. THe colour came out a little more red than I hoped for but that turned out great because it looked so different in different light conditions- in bright sun it was a lively light orange, in twilight it was a really nice flat red. Very fast and furious.

Obviously a Hemlock's not a pretty bike but apparently this is as close as it gets to looking alright 😆

As mentioned above, the green on the Sherpa is gorgeous.

[img] [/img]

Love the understated tone of the Starling Swoop. It looks great in the flesh and quite different to most 'showy' paint. Suits it.

[img] [/img]

Biased as I have one now but pictures don't quite do the Shan 917 justice. The colours are really beautiful together.

[img] [/img]

The stealth black ano on the Banshee spitfire is badass.

Bontrager did this red, looked almost Orange in those California lust photos from the 90s. Close to BMW Zinnobar.

No multicolour-fade/decal nonsense either!

Well that rules out the official best colours then, orange/white Clockwork, any linear fade pre 95 Klein or the Aqua fade Yo Eddy.

The only possible other choice left is either a neon orange Orange or Grello Yo. 😕

My gut reaction was red. Specialized Stumpjumpers or S-Works in red, always good. I'm going for turq. Apart from I kept busting them, I loved my Yetis, so my view is possibly swayed. The photo below is my 575 over 5yrs old so the paint was certainly durable too.

spesh had a pastel blue stumpy hardtail a few years back, with an orange fork and orange detailing. Beautiful, I just didn't want a stumpy hardtail at the time......
