I read a review a while back that rated 'standard' yellow Ikea batteries and generally I find they last well in my keyboard and mouse. However they don't hold up in my (quite old) Petzl Tikka head torch. What's the problem. the old head torch or batteries? Recommendations please.
Now done what I should have before posting this- searched on the web. If anyone is interested I found-

I have that headtorch and invested in some Sanyo Eneloop aaa rechargables and a proper charger. At the time there were 4 of us in the house doing night runs and this investment in power gave us a good value light source and i believed it to be more eco than disposable batteries.
I've been wondering about this recently. I'd rather use rechargeable but my Alpkit head torch doesn't seem to work with them at all. I ended up getting a USB rechargeable torch from AliExpress for £7 which is actually pretty decent.
We also have 3 alpkit headtorches....the gamma i think that work fine on these batteries. Its the one with 3aaa on rear and it does two different brighness, flashing and two colours
