Losing faith with Endura, Ground effect look like the next best option.

Any others worth a look, just for xc type stuff.

Spesh Enduro shorts are the best out of the ones I've got.

Got some nice Fox ones from Stif for £25 too with built in liner.

How baggy? Altura Mayhem are £25 from Merlin right now, or free with one of the magazine subs, MBUK maybe- sub, get gift, unsub? I've got 2 pairs of these, they're ace. They're not massively baggy mind.

I've been using Altura ones - worn well, no seams have come undone, comfy and appear to be 'normal' sizing.

Ground effect are well made, but Double happy's have a short drop. Means once seated there's unappealing hot-pant action going on...And their big and baggy ones are very much "It ain't harf hot Mum" stylee.

🙂

'fraid to say the best outers I've got are Gore (£90) and Sugoi (£80).

Sugoi Gusto have always been raved about. Expensive though. Fox ones aren't bad either.

Agree with nickc on the Ground Effect Double Happys, nicely made but could do with being a couple of inches longer.
Sugoi Gustovs are excellent, hard wearing, comfy, good fit. I got my last pair from Canada.

Cycle surgery were doing the Sugi Gustovs at about £55 a pair a while ago.

Just had a check, and they still are. The liners are superbly comfy.

Only in small unfortunately.
There's a large pair on ebay from the US

Craghopper Kiwi zip-offs have a good strong belt. (Keeps my gut in!) Cheap in Tinky Maxx as well.

The one in the Alturas unclips dead easily, I hate adult nappies too so mine go straight in the bin

Endura Humvee are great but the material "bobbles" too quickly

I'm very impressed with my Sombrio Pinner shorts. Lots of sensible features that don't hinder but are helpful and the fit is great. Fabric is stretchy whilst also seeming to be hardwearing and has a DWR coating that helps for a bit. Got mine for £25 from Evans I think.
