I want to go 1x10, and could do with some recommendations.
I'm currently running SLX 3x10, so I need a chainring that will fit an SLX triple, as well as a chain device of some sort. I have a normal BB, no ISCG tabs, but do have a seatpost (obviously). Not looking to spend unnecessary money, but want something that works well. So what chainrings/chain devices are good, and not too pricey?
If its not too worn, the middle chainring you have will work just fine. You'll need some [url= http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=19227 ]short chainring bolts[/url], (the ones you have will bottom out before they tighten up). The [url= http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=56&products_id=362 ]Superstarcomponents XCR device[/url] works perfectly. The seatpost one is a bit hit & miss.
You'll need to drop a few links out the chain also, wrap it around the biggest rear cog & add a link should do it.
