As some of you know Im based at RAF Benson

Im planning on doing a nice gentle 2 hour ish ride over the bank holiday weekend but not really sure on a route. Mainly to finish setting up my bike but also as a gauge to see how unfit I have truly become !!

Which way out of Camp following the Ridgeway/Chiltern way is likely to be more entertaining?

Right towards Watlington/M40 or Left towards Ipsden/Woodcote.

Have any of you got a decent route planned out along these lines?

Thanks

Steve

I'd head down to Wallingford then take Grimms Ditch over towards Nettlebed and play in the woods.

Or ring Rides on Air in Wallingford. They're nice folk.

Get exploring!

This took me 75minutes this morning at a hard pace. Add in some walkers and fettling and I'd say it's 2hrs

Mix of road, single track, vaguely rooty climbing and some descending. All could be done on a rigid SS but that is this part of the Chilterns for you!

Check out my cycling activity on Garmin Connect. #beatyesterday

Eddie is about right ๐Ÿ™‚ anywhere over that way sounds like a good plan.

I can link you to a Strava segment/ride which was decent mate i did a couple of weeks back.

Obviously some of it is more over my way, but there's some good bits over by you within it.
