Biggest twin has nicked big sisters 20" MTB and now littlest twin is under-biked. I don't want to get yet another bike, what tyres did you get to fit on a Beinn 20 small? Looks like around 2.0 clearance but 2.1" small block 8s are too big. Shortlist is

2.0 conti cross king
1.75 conti explorer
1.9 schwalbe blackjack

I got some Maxxis Maxx Daddy (2.0?) in a Beinn 20S. You'll have to remove the mudguards of course. Used once before we then got her a proper MTB!

Vague feeling I used Black Jacks - check the ERTRO though I think there’s more than one 20” and their not the same size.

I emailed Isla about what they thought were the biggest tyres to fit in one of their smaller bikes and they reply was ‘the ones that came with it’ which wasn’t very helpful as I’m sure it would have taken bigger.

my son has Max Daddy tyres in his bike (early rider) and they’re pretty good for most things.

which wasn’t very helpful

yeah that’s been my experience when contacting them for advice when trying to source accessories to fit secondhand islabikes we’ve bought. absolute zero effort ‘cover your arse’ responses. We’ve bought new from them as well and they are good bikes but their replies didn’t do much for my brand loyalty (Im sure they’re devastated to read this…)
