Absolutely loved it. Did all the blacks today, and has been said on here they are just superb flowing singletrack.
Did it on rigid ss which left us a little caught out on a couple of climbs on the black but loved it. Went with Phil (Chainline) who had his lovely new Jones to ride for the first time, and could just hear him whooping behind, I think he loved it too.
If that is your local trail I envy you.
I was up there today for the first time and it was very good. Loads of people about which is not always a good thing but today everyone seemed happy and chatty.
I likey...
Did it again yesterday on the way back after doing Penmachno.
Great feeling around the trail centre with the bbq going etc etc.
Loving the new open trail before the start of the black run.
It may get slagged here and elsewhere, but for a high speed blast you can't go wrong.
A few of us went on friday.
Managed to clear the drop at the end of the plank thing. I've been trying the get the nerve to do it for about the last couple of years.
The new bits look fantastic, especially the bike parky bit near the car park.
Should be open in the next week or so according to the signs.
Food in the cafe at the end was it's usual yumminess.
Pics look great. I went a few years back, but will have to go again this month and am lucky in that I will probably be able to get there on a weekday.

Presume you mean the 'same old red' that is soo different now that the trees have been cleared?? Or is there some more new stuff?
Cheers
Paul
Was at Llandegla on thursday havent been for a while because I am no great fan of trail centres but I was on my own and at least if I landed on my head someone will be along in a minute or so with a mobile to call for help. Hate to say it but I had a barrel of fun.
Chopping all the trees down at the top has changed it from a slow doddle round a dark wood to a ripper and the new stuff looks very interesting. I even got up that short steep rocky section without dabbing even though it was slippery, last time I went I embarressed myself and had to push from halfway up.
Didnt bother with the caff no one seemed to be serving jumped in the car and had lovely healthy fish and chips in the next village along Coed y Poeth I think it was.
Love the place, it was the first place I rode and it is the place that made me fall in love with the sport, I try and go once a week. Its a 50 min drive from me, does that make it my local trail? ๐

Yes. We are an slightly illegal 2hrs away, not too bad though. ๐
Yeah the felled bit just at the start of the black/red jump stuff is wierd now it's all open. It was also windy on Friday and made jumping a bit dodgy. I could hardly recognise the place now it's all open and not covered with trees.
where is the last picture take? is it a new section?
Yeah, They have changed the trail, after you cross the fireroad (after you have done the black near the bridge thing), you used to drop down past a shed, now you turn left just before the shed and they have added a rocky chute and some berms, then it just joins the ST alonside the stream to the unplaned northshore stuff.
nice pics Vortex (I'm claiming the copyright though!)
Yes LLandegla isn't as good as the natural stuff, or even some of the other trail centres but its a good blast if ridden fast .. and the new sections look good. The new skills area is opening in the next few weeks and is impressive.
And it has one of the best trail caffs by far ๐
Can't understand why some folk slag it off. It's not my favourite place, but it's a good all-weather trail, that's not too demanding. Good cafe aswell.
How the hell did you change your logon name?
and did you get out on the road bike?
when does the Genesis arrive?
"they are just superb flowing singletrack"...yeah,ok then.
going on either thursday or friday; taking a mate with me who's`never been and is still just really getting into riding. i reckon he's going to love it.

Does it not flow then? confused!
Vortex, yes I did get out on the roadie , I was one of many drenched in the lakes yesterday !
oh and its G day -2, already mentally bought all the bits I need ๐
we went to llandegla yesterday for the first time and really enjoyed it
although its very different to, say coed y brenin, the route (black) was fun and could be ridden really fast with some great sections
the place was packed yesterday and cafe was excellent - especially the bbq!
their were several bad accidents (we saw 3 abulances on the trails at different times) so hope everyone involved is not to seriously injured
