Not many of these bikes are "beautiful". Was hoping fontmoss would post that pic of his singlespeed Gary Fisher (I think), I have a strange obsession with how that bike looks.

Oh, I assumed by 'hardtail' we meant something which had to have front suspension! If that's not the case I offer....

The Soul is so aptly named, I sold my original one after 6 trouble free years, then had to get another one due to my FS breaking after a year. Riding it again made me realise that it is the best bike I have ever owned, it really is my Soul.

I think the OP should have been more careful to define 'beautiful'.

I've got a picture of a Carbon 456 in and no-ones even flinched...

No pics but look them up if interested - Hunter and Don McClung's custom bikes. Not to all tastes but I like them a lot. None (or few) are hardtails tho, I think hardtails tend to look fun and functional, but very rarely beautiful.

I'm not saying its the fastest or what I'd buy, but it is the best looking mtb I've ever seen.

Beautiful? Really?

Best way to ruin the looks of a fantastic frame IMHO. Way too much blue.

Sorry about image quality on that last one. More photos on muddygoose.wordpress.com it's a cheap hardtail but to me it's reliable & beautiful.

Not realy worthy of the description beautiful, but I've just had it resprayed and very pleased with the result (apart from the manky saddle).

I knew I shouldn't have put the blue dust caps on, oh well, too late now. I still love it and rides great only thing I would change is the forks to black. All black would be very boring anyway.
