Ive had an original early 90's 16in cannondale Beast of the east frame sitting in my shed for the last ten years Now due to a certain trials vid doing the rounds ive been inspired to build it up into a hop around street bike. Its now in the stand awaiting a build.............
A 22.2mm headset and mountain LX U brake on the back are the only sticking points the rest is a blank canvus, what would you do????
I used to have a purple one, really likded the sloping top tube over the standard frame...then I realised the BB was way higher too and it was horrible on descents..
still a good purple colour tho!!!
I think the H/set is 1 and 1/4 shimano do them andthen you can put a quill adapter for a normal stem.
I'd learn how to spell canvas.. ;0)
pre 90's BofE frames were 1" headtube. sounds like this is what you have, especially with the U brake.
