Any idea which bearings I will need for this bb? I have taken the old ones out and they only have 'truvativ sealed' stamped on the dust cover.

cheers

I think they are Truvativ only - which possible explains why they are crap.

Not sure if it's worth taking them to a bearing shop who can measure them and see if they are available from elsewhere.

Sorry to not have been of more use.

Sparx: if you don't mind me asking, how did you get the bearings out? I've got one thats getting a bit sticky and would like to re-grease the bearings but I can't see an obvious way to get them out. I can remove the dust seal part easily enough.

afrothunder: Once you have the cup out place it crank-side down, looking in you will see the lip of the bearing. Working around this lip with a suitable tool tap it out using a hammer. Finally place it in a vice and knock the whole thing out (or put it in a vice fromt the start).

If you have a socket set try and find one that will slot inside the cup and sit against the bearing lip and hit it out! this works much better than a flat head screw driver
