Have a set of Bontrager Rhythm Comps my Pace RC303, they are of an 09 Fuel EX8. Very impressed with them in general, but Front bearings are shot (british winters) and i can get bearings cheap/free through work, and happy doing em, just need some info

1) anyone know the part no/size for bearings that go in them
2) anyone found anything like a service manual for em - hub looks like it needs a special tool to service?
3) supposed to be DT hubs, anyone know the model?

If not may actually have to pay someone to look at em:eekster:

Less likely to be British winter killing the bearings than excessive preload on them(similar design principals to HT11).The special tool needed is a small C-spanner, which should have come with the bike(but probably didn't),and is used to clamp the hub-shell,via the bearings,on a plain diameter axle shaft by turning the notched lock nut.As you'll see when dis-assembled, the only things stopping the bearings being pre-loaded are common sense/feel when tightening them, and a rubber o-ring(that's often chewed up or broken)inside a groove on the locknut.
Can't remember the bearing type, but it should be written on the seals. Let me know if you can't get a tool as I may be able to dig a spare out.

Eddy, go the DT Swisswebsite, they are classed (IIRC ) as the onyx hubs..which are found under the old documents list.

hope this helps..

Are you in Bromsgrove by any chance?
