Got a rather nice Boardman Limited ED hybrid with the BB30 b/b setup, been riding it since July last year pretty much daily but no mental mileage. It's suddenly created an awful creaking and after taking it to Halfords (as it was on a care-plan) they admit the bearings aren't much cop and apparently it's common with the BB30 set-up (by comparison I'd never had to maintain any of my previous commuters)... Anyone else having issues, I thought it was supposed to be the dogs ???
My Cayo was the same when pushing a harder gear, wasn't sure if it was the BB or the Candys I had on it.
Taking the BB out and packing the threads with grease seemed to settle it down, changing pedals has eliminated it completely.
Six of one, half dozen of the other?
My S-Works Epic ate BB bearings!
