bb pivot bolt on pi...
 

[Closed] bb pivot bolt on pitch

when the nut is removed from this pivot bolt should it just push out?
got the nut off but the bolt is fast in the frame still, anyone any ideas?

Give it a tap with a hammer (rubber mallet is best).

backed nut right off but left it on whacked it with rubber mallet, not even budged a mil am i missing something?

I didn't think you'd be over-cautious!! ๐Ÿ˜€ There's nothing other than friction holding it in, so it *should* come straight out. Have you tried a short blast of WD40 (or similar)? The axle/bolt sits on the bearings, so any corrosion on them is going to reduce the ID and grab onto the axle. Without it in front of me, 'hit it harderer' is all I have to offer.

just popped then, took some heavy duty force with bearing puller on it though ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Great. Any sign of what was causing it to stick? Sunday is set aside, but haven't decided where yet. Anything happening?

Didnt seem to corroded but the bearings were failing.
We were going to inners but there is an enduro on this weekend so decided to go next week instead, fancy it?
Going to thrunton as far as i know this weekend.

Yes to both, I think. I might be doing GT on the Saturday with a friend who's just getting into it; but Inners will be good on the Sunday. Drop mew an email (in profile) about this Sunday...
