The event is sold out and we have sufficient marshal cover (but if anyone wants to volunteer we’ll find them something to do – find me at 8:45 am). What we need now is a crowd.
So, if you want to bob along and watch the cycling equivalent of It’s A Knockout the fun and games kicks off at 10:00am in Philips Park Whitefield.
In addition to some quality racing (there are some seriously big hitters on the start line) there will be a brass band, trade stands, the Ragley demo fleet, quality food and drink, lovely sunny weather if you believe the Met Office forecast and a prize for the filthiest rider that will be judged by the crowd like a Butlins style knobbly knees contest.
It’s free to watch but you’ll have to park at Sedgely Park Rugby Club just outside the park gates. That’ll cost you £2 per car but they’ve got lovely toilets and the bar will be open afterwards.
Fancy it? It’ll be spectacular!
It'll be Bike-Based Bobby-Dazzlement, Andrew. I think a wise man said that once.
Or it might have been Neil.
It was Neil.
Oh. There's a great big swing park bit for kids.
