So everyone is buying cheap lights but people say the batteries are bad... I have a solarstorm and will keep using the battery until it's dead.
I am sure that Smudge, OpenLight etc do great batteries but who has made there own and what's the "best" setup
Anyone using Lipo?
I have some lipo kit from old rc stuff.
I have a Balance Lipo Charger and a Lipo Charge sack so safely charging Lipo is not a problem.
My ayup battery died so I cut the Cable(from batteries to light) and was going to solder a deans connector onto the end of it and use it on a 5000ma Hardcase Lipo from Turnigy /Hobby King

I have also salvaged the pcb from the Ayup.
Would this setup also work with the new SolarStorm,Magicshine etc?
Do they have a pcb board in the battery packs or built into the light?
