I am looking to buy a Craft base layer (or similar) for my non cycling wife. She is constantly cold at this time of year - presumably because she spends a lot of time standing around playgrounds etc.
She is just over 5ft 1 and is somewhere around a size 10+, but not a 12. How do I convert that sort of info to the sizing charts on Wiggle or CRC? I don't want to give the game away by chasing her with a tape measure and would rather give myself a good chance of getting it right first time than sending it back for a replacement.
She could be small or extra small.....
I'm 5'5" (165cm) and am a size 8-10. I've just checked the Craft long sleeved baselayer that I wore for the ride in this morning and it's a size small. I'd say it was a perfect fit for me.
It's made of stretchy material but is quite figure-hugging so I'd probably go with her dress size rather than height. I reckon the small will probably fit. I do find it's a relatively long baselayer in the body, but I just tuck it in to give an extra layer of warmth!
Mine has lasted at least 3 years of near constant wearing in the winter and I keep meaning to buy another in case this one gets damaged and they stop making them.
Perfect! Thanks for that.
