Found this in a barn two years ago, whilst doing some more work at a customers property i noticed this has still not moved, thinking about asking the guy if he wants rid of it tomorrow and giving it a tidy up so my younger brother can come and do a bit of riding with me. The chap is a millionaire so he might just give it me, but if he does ask me what its worth what shall i offer him?
TBH he needs to pay you to take it away.........

I don't see any real value under £50. It would cost a bit to sort and you'd just have an old bike.
barn find means dry/decent condition?...have you seen the chain?
nrs is not a bad bike, i had one a few years back. but that is before they were even called nrs.

I agree; by the time you buy tyres/ tubes/ drivetrain/ cables you're not far off an entry level bike.
If it was ~10 years older it might be worth sorting, for what it is even tidied up with near NOS stuff you wouldn't get £200 for it.

It's the older version of the NRS,which is a great bike(I've got a team edition),but it needs the right parts on it to make it a great bike & that hasn't got them.So buy it as a frame,bin most of the rest of it,it may need all the bearings repaced too,which is around £30 to do yourself.....
I can do all my own spannering, and have a few parts i can throw on to help the cause a bit, at the end of the day its a bike and thats more than my sibling has at the minute, we all have to start somewhere!

Sounds like you can sort it out pretty easily then, and get your brother to help you out with it so be knows how to fix it himself etc.
Has a similar RS shock to my wife's ol Gary Fisher Sugar. That still holds air without any real service history, so you might be lucky.
