[#7108283]

I have some play in the back end of my spitfire. It has been well ragged in the year i have had it so i am not too surprised.

I have looked on the Banshee site and MTBR but cant find my answer so i thought that the answer is here 🙂

2014 frame BTW.

I could get a set from my LBS but i want to order my own and get them to fit.

Thanks

I have seen it answered on mtbr...have you tried searching Keith's post history? Or email Pat at ison if no-one can answer.

I had some play but it was just the torque on the pivots being wrong, bearings were OK.

It's on their website under the FAQ for each model. Spitfire is 608 and 6001, both 2rs (2 rubber seals). You need 4 of each. Just ordered some myself from Katec (of tin foil hat wearing Kaesae STW fame) as most rate his very well. Apparently the stock ones aren't brilliant so Ison recommend buying other more high quality ones. Keith doesn't recommend stainless ones btw.

How easy are they to replace out of curiosity?

A: For a complete bearing relacment you will need a total of:
4 x 608 2RS (for upper link pivots)
4 x 6001 2RS (for lower link pivots)
We only recommend using high quality bearings (SKF, FAG, INA)
We used these bearings as they are very easy and cheap to source from any bearing shop. But they are also avaliable from our distributors as a kit.

Awesome, thanks guys. I looked under the FAQ's would you believe but didn't see anything. I think i need some glasses. Infact i looked at the main FAQ not the specific bike section.

Chiefgrooveguru, yep i was going to order a set from him as they seem to be well regarded. How much were they just out of curiosity?

I looked on the site too and ended up emailing Keith - maybe they're impossible to see the first time you look? 😉

£20.40 for the lot inc postage. Damn sight cheaper than my mate's Yeti!

Ace, i have emailed Kaesae to get them ordered. Thats a fair difference from the £65 quoted on the distributors site.
