anybody going to be purchasing one of these new bikes that were in todays paper.whole frame made from bamboo and come in at a kick in the stones away from 2grand.....edinburgh bicycle co-operative will be selling them.

as bamboo grows so fast do you think they could cast a frame mold and then let the bamboo grow into the mold, breaking the mold away once it was fully grown?

Then you could make a plaster cast of your favourite frame and just grow your own frame in the garden ๐Ÿ™‚

I think with the injection molding/growing technique you could have slimmer tubes and maybe grow some seat/chain stays...

Rode one at the Cycle Show. BB moves about a cm. It was OK, but I didn't think it revolutionalised my view of bikes. Been available on road bikes for years,
