Had a great ride last night but a fairly painful off. I was riding down a path that got steeper and steeper. I know I should have stuck with it and got even further off the back but I chickened out and ended going over the bars as I tried to stop.
Anyone got any suggestions as to how to bail out in those circumstances?

I always tend brake hard, steer left and fall off on the uphill side.

I'm not too bad once I'm committed to something, but if i get an atack of the heebie jeebies halfway through I usualy stop the bike dead and grab a tree.
Flat pedlas help though.
