Looking for summer holiday ideas for a weeks 'real' alpine riding, went to Morzine last year and other than the dragons back to champery wasn't a huge fan... too many big bikes, braking bumps and very little technical low speed challenge or flat out swoopy flow that has you smiling for hours!
I have heard good reports about the 'white room chalet' , what others are out there.... austria, germany, switzerland much preffered over france.

Can't recommend these guys enough. Been there several years on the trot, summer and winter. Top trails, independent uplift, great food. No commission for recommending them, will just have to hope for an extra piece of cake when I'm there in a week's time!
I'm going back to white room for the second year, this august... Really is superb. We did a classic singletrack week, which was mostly uplifted/uplift assisted but we spent most of our time well away from the resorts and even those we visited weren't at all bikeparky. I don't know how "backcountry" it was, or what that really means tbh ๐ But it was fantastic.

Are we calling this backcountry now? I thought it was just mountainbiking? ๐
