[Closed] Awesome ride tonight

Absolute p*ssing it down all day. Sun came out about half-past 7. Thought, "what the hell", grabbed the bike and headed out the door. Good tunes on the iPod. Climbed up some singletrack for a change instead of slogging up the fireroad. Brilliant descent on twisty singletrack through a soaking-wet forest. Back end all over the place on the rocks and roots through the corners. Thick mist by the time I hit the valley floor, proper spooky in the trees as it was getting dark. Great fun, felt like I'd stolen it from a crappy day! Even the slog back up the road in the dark/fog was almost fun...

Checked out a new trail on the way down too, definitely going on the itinerary for this summer - a barely visible little track off one of my favourite trails turns out to open up into nice singletrack and steep switchbacks. Lush.
