In the process of swapping my dirt jumpers for a pair of fox forks. Running a set of avid elixir r's (185 rotors) with an adapter. Do I need a different adapter to run brake on the fox forks?

Depends what mount is on the Dirt Jumper's and the Fox's. If they are both IS or both Post Mount then no you won't. If one is Post Mount and the other IS then yes you will.
