Not if you one finger brake. It limits brake - gear distance adjustability
I've always used them with my SRAM/Avid kit and I think they are very good. Quite a bit of adjustment regarding shifter trigger positions and more room on your bars.
Yes. I rate them any way and would recommend them. I use them with avid elixirs and sram xo shifters. Nice and neat and easy to get the shifter where I want it. I one finger brake all the time and never had an issue.
If anyone wants some matchmaker clamps I would swap my black matchmaker clamps (off Elixir CRs and XO shifters), for a set of individual brake and shifter clamps. Only swapping as I want to sell the brakes and shifters and will be easier to shift separately.
