So I've lost the long screw bit that keeps the pads in the brake on my avid elixir brakes. Can any one tell me what this little bits called and where I can get a new one?

Buy a spare set of Pads,I know genuine ones have that included with them

Ahh right ok, I normally just buy the superstar ones and they don't. Was just wondering if you can just buy the bit but will have to just buys some avid ones

Just chuck a split pin through the caliper.
