Damaged my Avid Elixir 5 Lever Blade yesterday in a crash. Although it still functions I would like to replace the lever blade as it is out of line.
Managed to find them online. However, I'm a bit unsure if it is the case of just a straight swap as there is a pivot pin? Does this require a special tool to remove and replace?
Anyone ever done this or know of anyone who has replaced a blade lever on a Avid Elixir 5.
I had to do it a couple years ago and remember it being pretty easy.

That's the Avid Elixir R though, although Similar are they not a little bit different?
My concern is over the pivot pin and if a specific tool is required to replace the lever blade.
Well they either have the little set screw as in the above video or they have a plastic sleeve with a split in it, a little like a circlip, that you you pry off the pivot pin. Either way they're serviceable without anything specific.
