How does the 'real' Avid branded kit differ to this one?

or this >>

Thanks

It has avid on the syringes, an avid instruction booklet, nice box and some pad spacers - 3 ??

the syringes look near identical tbh - some slight difference between the attachment nipple but only aesthetics I assume.
They may be of inferior quality but how often will you ever bleed brakes ? I would be happy to use either but have an Avid one currently

I have the red dog racing version posted there... it works fine, no reason to pay twice as much just to get a sticker on the syringes that says 'avid'.

FYI i used a £10 cheapy set to bleed my formula the ones after replacing the entire hose. Hijack: I can't understand the 'hype' surrounding replacing formula hoses and bleeding them. I knocked up a very simple jig out bit of scrap wood, fixed it 'in situ' to my bench and well that's it.

I even had to take off the bite because they were too strong.

So yes, they work fine 🙄 😛

The difference I can see is the syringes, its a small difference and hard for me to explain, but here goes!

With the cheaper one it will be easier for air to leak from the rubber back of the syringe, due to it not having 3 circular bits on the shaft, that stop the shaft moving from the middle.

I would go for the cheaper one, once you've got the feel it's easy.. Sort of... 😉

For the price of the Avid bleed kit, you'd expect something like this..

But you don't get that. 🙁

Because that's the pro kit and costs €50, which is a bit much for some syringe bling.

Still tempted tho! 😕

I bought the Ebay one and it worked fine, I would definitely recommend them.

Don't forget you need the spacers to keep the pistons pushed in if you haven't already got them, they don't come with the Ebay kit.
