Come across these on eBay and wondering if they are legit or not.

What does STW think?

Are they going to be cheap knock offs?

Also, are bb7 still the route to go down if you want cable?

And what levers would you choose?

£58 for a pair of BB7 calipers sounds about right. There's nothing about that ad that makes me suspicious.

Fitted with compressionless outers and genuine Avid pads and well adjusted/maintained, mine were as good as hydraulic. I had Avid SD7 levers on my MTB but ran the road version of the BB7 with Ultegra 6700 levers.

Ditto everything scotroutes says above.
The road bb7s on gravel bike seem to work a lot better than the ones on my SS.
Definitely good to have the right washers to get them aligned properly.

Need to double check if the avids on SS are BB5 or 7 and what levers I have, but if you're interested in a cheap 2nd hand set to try out I can send you a few pics. You'd need mounting washers though, my current set up is bodged.

I've got some. BB5 in road pull if that's any good to you?

£20 posted?

Also some Shimano cable brakes pair, bought off in here second hand but I never used them. £30 posted?

If @ibnchris doesn't want them @tall_martin, I will... I'm looking for better than what I've got.

Thanks TallMartin - am after some for the mountain bike. Might treat myself to new ones and flog the old Hopes I have on there currently.

Just checked, I have a set of Avid MTN BB7's with matching levers.
If anyone's interested in them drop me a PM.
