I am a member of the TPS, but I keep getting these recorded calls, made to sound like a conversation. It is amazing how quickly you can tell its a recording and not an actual person..
Anyway how can I stop these??
Buy a phone with BT Call Guardian.
It screens every call other than those from numbers that you allow.
Nuisance calls to the landline are now a thing of the past.

I found that recorded messages are not covered under TPS...
However you can complain to the information commissioners office.

Landline get a call guard phone zero spam calls now.
Mobile I don't answer them if I don't recognise the number and block the number if no voicemail left.

yeah part of my work is answering calls from people who have got my number from an allocation system, and I don't get their numbers in advance, so I have to answer...
TBH it would annoy me just as much if I had to delete them form my answer fone.
I say unsolicited calls should be illegal, end of.
Ah you work in the sex chat line industry.
thats why the recordings are so annoying...
