Ok, know it must be easy, but what do I use to attach to 104bcd crank? The bolts I have taken off are too deep as they are for a triple. Are there special bolts or is it just standard bolts that are not as deep?

You get SS specific chainring bolts. Internet as them.

You need some short chain ring bolts. Or cut/file/grind your long ones down a bit.
