My rear brake cable gets slowly pulled through the swing arm as it goes up and down, leaving the cable tight across the head tube after about and hours ride (and a big loop by the rear mech).

Anyone come across this and know the cure? Had a look at the cable routing and its NOT as per the yeti manual (cable is the middle channel not the drive side channel) yet all the clamps are done up tight - does this make enough difference?

I put electric tape round my cable outer at the bottom clamp on down tube so it clamped onto it tight as found the brake outers not wide enough so they would move through it as you have found.

Do you mean gear cable? Make sure the screw is tight that holds the gear cable port cover in place on swing arm. Mine was loose and tightened it up. No more cable slide...
