I'm trying to get the to collar off an Ascend ii external and can't get it to budge! Surely this comes off the same way that the internal routed ones come off?

I've got the post clamped in a frame and clamped down hard with carbon grip paste, but I'm managing to get so much force through it's turning in the frame.
-I can get purchase on the collar by looping a rather strap round and using a bar in the hook, so that's not an issue.
- Post was brand new so it's not corrosion
- have tried heating the collar but didn't want to go too far and melt the seal/bushing
-yes, I'm trying anti clockwise 😀
-it's currently in a bag in the freezer
Is it just rft, or am I missing something?
