What's your views on the best way to go round ? Cheers

Normally clockwise, as the prevailing winds blow up the west coast where it is flattest, so the wind affects you most on this stretch. Conversely if non prevailing northerlies, do it anticlockwise.

Don't fall into the trap of thinking all the hills are in the north. The south is very rolling. It's a cracking road loop.

Have to say - I've always done it anti clockwise. But now I think about it everyones else seemed to be going the other way.

If you are feeling fit go for a figure of 8, just purely so you can fly down either side of the string road like a loonball!:D

I tend to go over the String road around the top clockwise and back over the string then the bottom loop anti clockwise.Cracking day out there

There's a great cafe stop at the golf course on the west coast (Blackwaterfoot iirc). And there's a bonus loop through Kildonan to see the seals and enjoy a nice extra hill-climb. I rode it clockwise.

Everytime I have done it I have done anti-clockwise.
Twice last week as well ๐Ÿ™‚
