[Closed] Arm coolers for the tropics?

I'm heading off to do some riding in a warm and humid climate later this year. I run hot anyway so I was looking at options for coping better. Arm coolers seem to fall into 2 groups, one that is basically just a thin layer that screens you from the sun and the other which claim to be made of wonder fabric that actively cools you.

Anyone got real world experience of them, and do the fancy ones (still?) work when the humidity is high or does the lack of evaporation knobble them?

Buy something when you get there - the same as the locals use.

In tropical Oz I found buying work shirts the same as the likes of roadworkers use best for coolness and sun protection. Your neck especially needs it.

Arm coolers? Are those what hipsters call sleeves these days?
