my magura julies are leaking out of the dot of the i in the text 'oil' on the reservoir
whats that all about?

Nothing to worry about, have you squeezed the lever whilst upside down or pushed the pads/pistons back in a long way when doing anything to them? If the levers feel soft they may need a bleed/top up in the reservoir.
Usually just excess fluid trapped above the diaphragm being expelled, not normally anything to worry about unless it's continuous, in which case it's likely to be a punctured diaphragm, cheap and easy to replace.
what are these things like to bleed?
Pretty easy, just follow the instructions you get with the bleed kit, no voodoo magic required.
ah ok. just had reservoir cap off (to top up) so prop just excess fluid.
will get bleed kit asap - can i just get the nipple attachments from somewhere?
If no one else gets round to it, i'll think of an Ali G joke later.
