Only about 15 went on the guided tour, I remember when there were many more than that - is the lure of Llanwrtydd Wells no longer there?

I've not gone the last three now mainly because I just can't afford it anymore, as a household we are earning almost a third less than we were 4 years ago. Its a shame as I used to love it.

I don't think folk want to ride bikes anymore - checkout the lack of a big ring on many new bikes. They just seem to want bouncy hobby horses...

i remember going there about 15-18 years ago when mbuk sponsored it and there were about 400 people there.
very little gets done to promote it these days so its got left behind. its a shame as it a great little town with some great natural riding .

back in the day it was one of the first organized events in the UK but with so many other events/races about if you dont evolve and adapt your not going to pull the people in.

will be back there in Nov for the wobble tho

i beleive the new organisers have plans/hopes to make the event busy again. the area offers loads of really good riding.

I'm not saying I would have done it, but was it advertised anywhere?
Perhaps no-one turned up because they didn't know it was on?

I didn't hear about it. Time pressure stops me doing the events that I'd like to do and this year seems to have been unavoidably busy.

Next year I will mostly be riding 8)

It was a very sad reflection of it's former years, even the pubs were very quiet compared to a few years ago when they were jumping. Shame, the place has so much potential with the outstanding surroundings it has. Good luck to the new organisers! lets hope they can ressurect it again.
