[Closed] Are the cages on XT rear mechs interchangable between model??

Basically, I've got an M772 rear mech (XT, shadow, RR with long cage) that I want a shorter cage for.

As there's lots of different models (M60, not shadow models etc) on eBay, I was wondering if anyone with experience knows if I could buy a cheaper model, and simply switch the cage across?
