I may have dreamt this, but I thought I saw an ad in MBUK for Stif saying they were releasing a bike in March

I saw that too but Googled it and couldn't find any info on it a few weeks ago.

I was there a few weeks ago & they had a Hard Tail either steel or Ti looked really good, bare metal finish.
I'm sure the guy said Stiff had made it.
