I'm after some gloves for winter and am on the brink of ordering some nice Pearl Izumi softshell gloves which are windproof and water resistant.
Before ordering though I want to know if Roubaix gloves would be just as suitable or will they let the wind through?

They are for road use only.

Not as windproof as softshell IME, might work OK but probs not when wet.
