My KS I900 has problems when the temp gets really below zero, very slow to come back up and does not always stay up, but its usually -5degs and below. +5degs and above its been perfect.

My remote lever/cable sometimes freezes and the post just goes down, I pull the small lever on top of the post it then locks ok, I find were the cable connects I have to keep this area clean and lubed and I have taken to putting a large blob of copper grease over the lever and connection, this helps to keep the dirt out and the water, the cables is like your gears, I strip and lube it once a month, but if I leave it a couple of months thats when things start to go wonky, but the cold has a big effect on my post, I'm guessing the oil etc goes sluggish through any valves/pistons etc. I rode in -13 a couple of weeks ago and it was playing up, not returning until I pulled it up.

My Joplin 3 just refuses to rise when it gets very cold. I'm guessing that this is a "feature" of hydraulic seatposts as I never had the problem with my Gravity Dropper.
