I have some 2012 Rockshox Domains 160mm travel in white and a mate has some at 180mm travel in black. We want to swap lowers (if possible) rather than the complete fork. Is this a possibility? Do the exact models and production years make a difference? Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Google Rockshox spare parts catalogue for that year and look at the exploded diagrams and part nos. Will tell you if they share a chassis. I'd have assumed so.

AFAIK all the single crown domain lowers and all old lyrik lowers are identical. (it's given as the reason you can lengthen a lyrik to 180mm without dying)

TBH the best thing to do is just try it- worst case scenario? Doesn't fit, and you've just done an oil change.
