Any one here been to Ard Rock before? Whats it like getting there and finding parking/camping area etc. is it all well directed or are you left to fart around by yourself? A few of us are going up but at different times/days. Will this be a pain?

Yes. Based on this year I'd say if you want to camp together then the arrive together.

Our group was a bit scattered around the campsite due to arriving at different times on the Thursday and the rigid attitude of (some of) the camping marshals. A bit of cheeky relocation the following morning helped, but it still wasn't ideal, especially when it's marketed as a 'festival' event it'd be nice to camp and hang out with your mates.

I'd agree about arriving together if you wanna camp with your mates - we were lucky and ended up right next to ours by random chance - last year they were directing people to particular sections of the fields depending on when you arrive

Other useful tips...
The queues for beer were very long last year (I reckon 15-20 minutes to get served) so bring your own with you
Phone signal is rubbish (I think except EE) so finding your mates isn't that easy - maybe take walkie talkies?
I'd fit sturdier tyres if I were you (I ran double down maxxis last year which were fine)
Showers cost extra (either one or two pounds - can't remember) so bring change
There's not much in the way of shops nearby, so bring any food you want with you

Just do what all the other unorganised roasters do, spread a few cars about to make space for your mates that can't be bothered to get there at the same time as you.

Or alternatively, don't camp right next to each other, as you're not 9 years old any more.

the o2 network was perfect last year, full 4g all weekend, the year before not a smidgen of 2g except on the hill side of stage 1.

try and arrive togeather to camp togeather, as an organiser its easier to line campers up to use up space efficiently..

if you want to try an ebike, you'll be lucky on a saturday afternoon, try another time..

Cheers all, we are going to be scattered but it's not the end of the world. Thanks for additional advice RE showers etc. Looking forward to it!
