Morning all.
Does the panel have an opinion on the 2015 Pinnacle Arcose 5?
There seems to be a generally favorable view of the Arcose bikes on here although not seen much mention of the 5. I assume the frame and forks are the same throughout and it's just the components that change. Do the frame/forks warrant a CX1 build?
I'm not wild about the colour of the 5 (sort of a splatter effect on grey background), but I've struggled to find a decent picture that shows what it really looks like. I can probably live with the colour if it's a good ride at a good price though.
I'd plan to use it as a winter road bike (so would want to be able to fit full mud guards), as well as for a bit of gravel/cx type riding which for me would be mostly road but with some tracks, tow paths and such like mixed in for variety.
Thoughts ?
Ooops. Typo. I meant Pinnacle [u]Arkose[/u] 5.
There is a big thread on the Arkose, plenty of info in it.
Plenty of threads about plenty of things around here. I've read some threads where the Arkose is discussed. I didn't see anything that addressed my specific questions though. Hence my asking.
with regards to the paint scheme, i've seen the 5 (and the s/s one too in fact) up close in the local Evans & it looks much better in the flesh, none of the photos i've seen of them do the finish justice, might still be a bit polarizing for some but I really quite like it... especially the "vomit splatter" ss one 😉
