As I mentioned in another post, my 13 month old (old style) AXS Reverb was found to be bent by TF Tuned
Sent off to SRAM and received a new one a week later. It's the new model, so ugly as sin and I'd have liked to trade up to a slightly longer one, but you can't win them all.
And a mention to JE James for sorting it for me for a relatively small fee, even though I didn't buy the bike it came on from themย
I did make the assumption you'd take it as a joke, no real offence meant.
How did you bend it? ย I'm imagining a pretty uncomfortable impact with the post fully extended? ย Or was it simply a substandard part hence the prompt new replacement?
I've no idea tbh, hadn't taken a big hit or landing, so just genuine good old JRA.ย
Was stuck down about 25mm and had started to get a bit stiff and notchy so sent it for a service. TFT came back and said it was bent by about 1mm along a metal rule

my last warranty with SRAM was probably 10 years ago, but they were decent, if slow to replace NX rear mechs (which were made of cheese)ย but i had a nightmare with them over my rear shock, as they insisted id jet washed it which was why it was full of mud- it wasn't, id just ridden it through the winter!ย
my T-Type GX mech died back in january (annoyingly whilst at BPW). It was about 2 weeks past its warranty. But Tredz were helpful and Sram asked to send it back. Despite no longer being in warranty, they replaced it with a new unit. They did note that a complete lack of servicing wasnt ideal. Very dirty, crusty and nasty inside (and outside). But i appreciate they went the extra mile when they didnt need to.
I sold it, along with the shifter and now have T-Type 90 on the bike. Whilst i absolutely love the perfect shifting AXS has brought me over the past few years (ive had OG X01 and then T-type GX and XX), when it goes wrong, you really are stuck. At least with a cable you can loosen or tighten it to select a gear to hopefully get you home. BPW in 3rd from top wasnt ideal.... although it did mean i had to carry speed as i couldnt pedal into or out of things, which was fun in its own way.
But yeah, long story short... Sram warranty is really good.
Need to go look at how you do general servicing on the mechs...apart from a monthly (at least) wash and then I give the pivots on the mech a wee spray of GT-85, I don't do anything else.
Saying that, that is all I've done after the first 6 months of ownership on the 2 mechs I've got. First 6 months I did nothing but for a week it would struggle to drop into the smallest cog. Gave the mech pivots a wee spray and it was instantly back to all 12 gears working perfectly.
Can I use this thread to praise 100% for their warranty? I had some Hypercraft specs bought from SportPursuit (so not full RRP). Changed the lens just the one time to put a photochromic in and noticed the arm was loose. If I wasn't careful with them the arm would drop off (they are frameless). They were ok when being worn. Contacted 100%, they told me to fill in a warranty and select which glasses I wanted in replacement. Just taken delivery of a brand new set of 100% specs from Virginia USA. Didn't even have to send the others back to be checked ๐
