Had my heart set on the boardman CX but seems this is a no can do on the with the provider my employer uses - which is 'cyclescheme'

Local shops stock the main brands, but these seem to be expensive when you compare like for like with the boardman.

Also factor in I can get 10% off with the BC membership and Halfords do regular offers so it starts putting the boardman direct into similar total cost as £900-1000 bikes on the cyclescheme.

Thoughts? Any other bikes I can get with cyclescheme that would be worth a test ride? Also want it to be SRAM same as the road bike

Limit is £1000 on cyclescheme or around £600 with discounts

Confusing I know but this is cyclescheme the provider rather than cyclescheme in general....

I've not seen any CX with SRAM for under £1k.
I think Rose Bikes do one near enough to that budget though.

Edit: I have only been looking at disc equipped though so that might open up other options for you.

Have a look at the Pinnacle Arkose 3 from Evan. I got this recently and it was between that and the Boardman.

Thanks for the suggestion just checked it out but it seems Evans wont do cyclescheme, you have to use their own setup ride2work.

Complicated isn't it!?

If I go with Rose it definitely won't be cyclescheme so rules them out unless they have a mega good sale on(unless someone can correct me?!).

Planet X seem to support it, but I have to add 10%. And the dirty disco is over budget.

*sigh* looks like I'll be stuck with something from specialised / trek / cannondale with crap components.

Evans do cyclescheme, or so I was told in their shop.

If SRAM is not a deal breaker, look Merida, Norco and Jamis all do disc cx bikes for under a grand. All are Tiagra and the Merida might even be 105.

So they do, I didn't see that first time I looked at the evans site. Thanks, that opens up a few more brands to look at!
