Found another hole, Glue, tubeless patch and sandpaper.

I'd a pace RC31 fork for a while, bought off someone in retrobike. Pace themselves had in one of the legs created a chamber and machined what would normally be an adjuster with a thread to cap it. Internal size about 80mmx25mm. done for one of their own staff i think. Wish id not sold it, quite unique. 1" uncut streerer too.
That would probably be 5 or 6 years ago, so not a new idea.

Its a cool gadget, but what's the real advantage over tube/tool/plug in a bag in a back pocket or saddle bag?

I have one of these Specialized SWAT. Thought it was a gimmick on my Camber but they are really useful.

I don't care for loading the bike up with gear. I feel the extra weight affecting the handling. Although it's not as bad as sticking it under the saddle.

300g spread around the bike? Hmmmmmm!

Well 300g under a saddle is noticeable, possibly not in the downtube; but it's not just that - without a Camelbak I've also got up to 1500g of water on the frame as well.

I can see Moly's point, you can feel the difference between a dropper post and a normal one if you swap them for a service.

Not enough to convince me not to have an innertube, multitool and tyre plug in a seatpack though.

I'm inconsistent though:
MTB: saddle bag with tool, spares, plugs, innertube taped to the frame.
Gravel: jersey pocket for tube, plugs and tool.
Road: Saddle bag for tubes, plugs and tool.

Might spend some time this weekend making some custom bags to sit below the bottle cages on all the frames to lower the COG now!

I like those tyre levers/chain link tool.
