he's bought another he's was so pleased with the last.

Broke several time but ridden very hard.

seen a few on mtbr forum and i got a hl rear end off ebay which i presume was off a broken one, but my 03 is still going strong, i just got the back end because they are hens teeth now

worn out in what respect, surely if you keep on top of bearings and bushings it's got a longevity the same as most full suss frames?

backends are prone to cracking and bend fairly easy if you like your downhills

hhmmmm......... broken front triangle, snapped rocker arms, bent (crash) rear triangle.......... 3rd set of bushings and prob need a new rear triangle because worn out a bushing mount

Anyone got a spare rear HL triangle thinking of selling??

Don't they have fairly good guarantee? Get a new one at reasonable price?

got the new front triangle for 300 bucks cos it was my fault. managed to get a HL rear for 100 squid off someone. BUshing kit is 75 green ones each though

guy at work has bust his dropouts on his 07 (kona style) one, it's being sorted under warrenty.
Ones bust outright and the other is showing signs of stress so he says.
(he wouldn't part with it though)

That ebay swing arm is 'old', guess if you haven't got a choice!?

I've not heard of anyone wearing out a 5spot, if you keep the zerks greased with the special hooked grease gun, then it should last an age. Mine is 4-1/2 years all original, I do ride other bikes though.
