I need to replace a Conti X-King 26 x 2.2 Protection so just considering alternatives before I buy another.
Needs to be 2.2 as the clearance on my Turner Flux is limited, & to be run tubeless so tubeless ready.
Ideally a fast tyre but with some good tread for when its wet
The Bonty XR3 2.2 Team Issue looks a good alternative & cheaper too, any feed back welcome.
I've got a pair of those on my Whyte T-129. They roll fast and grip well. Wear fairly fast, though. Not bad in the mud, either, As for tubeless, they were, but now they aren't - rear lasted 2 rides when I slightly dented the rim and couldn't get it to seal again, so I put a tube in, the front started to go down after 6 months or so, so I put a tube in that one, too. I swapped the rear for a Specialized Purgatory Control in the middle of Winter, put it back on in Spring. I reckon there's heaps of bulls**t talked about tyres, me, and some of the prices quoted make your eyes water.
Cheers
